the way i play young dumbledore is very much like how i would play old dumbledore, but with a few key changes in outlook, experiences, intelligence, humour, etc. i try very much not to stray too much from what we know because of the books and interviews with jkr. inevitably, however, i have put in a few original touches and headcanon here and there; i've played him for a while now. if you ever see anything off about the way i play him, or have any other comments or concerns, please put them here! :)

Threadhopping: Use your discretion. Nine times of of ten, it's fine by me. :)

Offensive subjects: Sexual harassment/assault. And prejudice of any kind skeeves me off, I guess. More to be added as I sort out my Feelings.

[ In Character ]

Hugging this character: Small children can go for it. If anyone else tries it, without having reached a certain level of closeness, don't be surprised if he steps back, pulls away, or just doesn't allow you to hug him at all. He's not the most comfortable with that sort of thing.
Kissing this character: Aha, try it if you'd like, but chances are you'll get mouthblocked and friendzoned faster that you can say 'priori incantatem'. Dumbledore is kind of determined to be Forever Alone. Romantic involvement with a gentleman in the future isn't out of the question, but said gentleman would have to be pretty determined and dedicated to the cause. In any case, attempts to kiss him out of the blue will not be met unkindly, but they probably won't be met favourably either.
Flirting with this character: Depending on who you are, he may flirt back jokingly or pretend to be politely oblivious. Come on strong enough and you're likely to embarrass the bejeezus out of him.
Fighting with this character: Sure.
Injuring this character: If you'd like to seriously injure him please contact me. Otherwise, go for it.
Killing this character: I'm theoretically up for it.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Go ahead. Now, headcanonly, Dumbledore knows that he is a Legilimens/Occlumens, but he has not practised the skills much, and is therefore not very good at their execution. Anyone attempting to read his mind or reading his mind outright will certainly trigger an immediate decision to train and develop those skills. Basically: use mind reading on him once, and it might be the last time.
